Sleepyhead is the major label debut album by Cavetown, released on 27 March 2020 by Sire Records. It was preceded by five singles.[1] A portion from all pre-order sales went towards community food banks in support during the global pandemic.[2]

Background

On 14 February 2020, he revealed the cover artwork and release date. He added, "I've been working so hard on this for like a year....it's been the most stressful project of my career so far but only because i care SO MUCH for it. Lemon Boy was my first born, but he's left the nest and Sleepyhead is my new baby."[3] Because the pop-up galleries were unable to happen amid COVID-19 restrictions, he uploaded a video to his YouTube channel on 15 April 2020 to show all the paintings.

In celebration of its one year anniversary, Cavetown released four extra songs, which are the demo versions of a few selected tracks.[4]
